A weekend getaway is a great way to recharge your batteries and remove yourself from the daily grind and routine. Often enough we travel abroad and don’t give enough of our time to experience the beauty of the places we spend our lives. This weekend we decided on the village of Askas in the mountainous Pitsilia region of Nicosia and we chose the lovely Lyxnos Hotel as our home……..with a population of just over 100 inhabitants the village can only be described as peaceful but as the photo’s show…..incredibly beautiful. Dining can be an issue although the lovely Perneia Restaurant was very welcoming and happy to alter their menu to accommodate us as vegetarians
